Oversized Floor Register – Shoemaker 1560 Series Large Floor Vent
Need a large-sized floor register and can’t seem to find one anywhere? Well look no further, we have a HEAVY GAUGE strong, durable Shoemaker 1560 series large floor vent. This custom size floor register is available in 195 different sizes: from the small to the enormous (30″ x 60″). Each large floor vent has opposed blade damper to control air volume. There are no bulky damper controls on top of the faceplate, Shoemaker 1560 gym grade registers have a recessed screwdriver operated control.
What is nice about these large floor vents is versatility; they can be used for ceiling and wall application as well as floor application. The faceplate on this oversized floor register comes with mounting holes, enabling you to use them on oversized wall or ceiling registers. Blades on the faceplate run parallel to longest dimension given.
The Shoemaker 1560 series large floor vents are Gym Grade, giving them extra support with a welded core. This heavy gauge large floor vent is perfect for areas of high traffic in residential settings, hospitals, schools, and other commercial locations. You can choose from 2 different finishes: Soft White and Diftwood Tan.
Due to the 180 different sizes in this oversized floor register, it can take approximately 4-6 weeks for this Shoemaker 1560 series vent to ship. Each register is special order/non-returnable, so please make sure you are measuring correctly (tip: make sure to measure the actual opening/hole in the floor – see earlier blog on this topic).

Good Afternoon. There are a couple of options you can go with for an opening/hole size in the floor of 14×24…
If you wanted to go with the Shoemaker 1560 Gym Grade Register (with damper), This is available in Standard colors (white & diftwood tan) The price is $291.06. The Designer colors (7 decorative finishes) $ 385.06.
If you wanted to save a bit of money by using a floor return (no damper) instead of a register (with damper) The price for the Shoemaker 1610 Gym Grade Returns in standard colors: $204.12 and designer colors: $292.95.

Looking for small floor vent, any material, that has opening of 2×12,but face plate of 4×14. Got anything like that?

We have a really convenient “browse floor registers by size” on our website, so you would be able to see all floor registers available in a 2×12 size (you could then find out the faceplate size using the links). I did review the choices, and the closest faceplate size of 4×14 for a 2×12 opening would be the White/Brown classic floor register (with faceplate 3 3/4″ x 13 1/2″), Zoroufy brand white oak/Brazilian Cherry unfinished floor vent (4″ x 13 5/8″) or you could have a custom floor return (no damper to control aiflow) where you can customize the overall faceplate for $38.18. Please note, the custom item would need to be purchased over the phone, because we would need to document the additional faceplate wanted (this item also takes 5-8 weeks to ship direct from the manufacturer and is considered non-returnable).
